9/6/25 the Hand III The Hand that Tries You

Last week we taught on holding the hand of God, that being his Son, the Messiah named in the Hebrew Y’shua & the effort to let him lead you through life. This means that he is in the lead, he is in control & you may end up in places & in circumstances that you would rather not go to & experience.

When you lace hands with Y’shua he will take you for a ride, like a roller coaster. Do not ever buy into the perpetuated myth that once you lace hands with Messiah, that life is all Blue bell ice Cream & no pain. Truth be known being a Chrisian is the toughest thing you will ever do in your life, even if your faith is sound and deep. Part of this is because the Lord need to introduce you to the new you. It is a new that is always caught off guard when disaster strikes for the first few years since you laced hands with the Hand of God.

If you question whether or not the Lord will put you into a trial, and try you, read your bible.

Genesis 22 Abraham, the foundation, covenant bearer with Almighty God tested in V1. With the sacrifice of his first born son Isaac.

Deuteronomy 8:2 Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands.

13:3 The Lord your God is testing you to find out whether you love him with all your heart and with all your soul.

Isaiah 48:9-10 (on speaking descendants of Jacob) For my own name’s sake I delay my wrath;
for the sake of my praise I hold it back from you, so as not to destroy you completely. 10 See, I have refined you, though not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction.

Matthew 4:1 Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.

James 1:2-3 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.

Let’s be honest this is where your faith is tested, your patience stretched. Where is the Hand? Pull me out of this we scream! Like David we pray, Save us and help us with your right hand, that those you love may be delivered (Psalm 60:5).

This is a perfectly legit prayer. Why? Because trouble will hit. Trouble will not be expected. If you are not in a trial you will be, stay tuned. Stay focused. Your health may turn in a mystery. Finances might get purged. People will rise against you. Again David can relate: Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; you stretch out your hand against the anger of my foes, with your right hand you save me (Psalm 138:7 ).

David walked with trouble, not into it. Sometimes life can be compressed, your entire view point gets locked in on the problems. It beats you down. It can become your identity if you let it. So where do you go? What do you say? What do you pray?

Psalm 34:17-18 reassures, “The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears; He delivers them from all their troubles. The LORD is near to the brokenhearted; He saves the contrite in spirit.”

The condition is to be righteous, if you think you have it on your own, that disqualifies you. We are all messed up by a corrupt stained world by the filth we dwell in & turn a blind eye & call it normal. The things we have in the American culture that we accept that are an afront to the Lord God who gave his Son, His Spirit to bring a cure to.

  • I deal with pain every day from those who have been taken, souls who have turned their back on the light & run into the darkness because that is what they call home.
  • My own issues, my own tendencies, my own anger
  • facing loved ones who deal with sickness, disease, brokenness,
  • with so little compassion, & empathy, let alone love shown by others
  • because it has not affected their world.

Can’t you see we are all broken down. All damaged. Since the assassination of a president the citizens have this country have been repeatedly traumatized for over 60 yrs. Over & over subjected, made to see, the utter evil, tragedy, greed & lust trample our souls. The blatant hatred to another & malice forsaking the call to love one another. How can we turn a blind eye any longer?

Come to grips beloved with the reasoning. Psalm 66 recounts history. What have you been through that you have survived? Recount those things. There is a purpose for all this, nothing is beyond the knowledge of our God, nothing is going to catch him by surprise. Praise our God, all peoples, let the sound of his praise be heard; he has preserved our lives and kept our feet from slipping.10 For you, God, tested us; you refined us like silver.

  • If I have learned anything, it is we do not know ourselves as well as the Lord knows us.
  • If we are clinging to that Right hand he will see us through. His grip is secure.
  • He will apply heat to us because he needs to purify as he develops us into greater faith, greater strength, in him, only in him.
  • Not in the world, not in our finances, not in our government,
  • not in our systems, networks or resources. Only in him.

Do you walk in unforgiveness? Is this what tries you? Yshua says Forgive & you will be forgiven. The Lord may be trying you to show you forgiveness is lurking in your soul.
