9/12/26 Faith in IAM

Galatians 3:26 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Last week we covered Galatians 2:20 Which possesses in the initial stages much of the same statement As Paul has listed here. There are differences between the two verses has this come 6 verses later obviously and there is greater clarification as to the significance of this life and what it means to be alive rather than just living.  Last week we started you on this journey for this segment of the series and today we are going to meet that goal fully understanding of what it is to be alive and living.

Paul declared that he is in Christ because Christ lives in him. Last week we lightly revealed the link between life and Jesus with Adam in the garden of Eden. It is Jesus that breathed the breath of life into Adam and took a pile of dirt and made it living. Adam was alive but when Adam and Eve fell we all died. We’re all living but not all of us are alive because we have missed our purpose, we have missed Our Calling, we have missed the reason we are to be because we have failed to recognize life beyond the physical. Jesus living in you means you have Holy Spirit. It’s been reported and declared in this series, as of this week 11 weeks running of the essentiality of submission to the spirit of God within us. This is eternal life. This is the life that extends into the presence of God as we have detailed in this series because we are no longer held away from the presence of God due to our lack of holiness and righteousness; But it is Christ that lives in us and due to that we have holiness and righteousness when we seek him for direction, purpose and obey.

Paul gets physical here, by saying the that he now lives in the body. Obviously, we can all identify with this since we all have a body What does your body need your body needs air, water, food, shelter, clothes, at least all of us hope that we have clothes. We all have bodies but not all of us are alive in those bodies is the point he’s trying to make. When Adam and Eve fell death came into the picture and many literalists take this as a physical death and while yes that is the case there is also a dimension of spiritual death. Spiritual death is not something that is commonly taught upon.

Spiritual death is when God doesn’t recognize you because that’s the essence of the dark side of the after World in eternity. You are separated eternally from the presence of the omnipotent omniscient omnipresent Lord of all creation. That means you no longer get love you no longer get compassion you no longer get mercy and you no longer get grace because you do not have redemption through the blood of his son. And that’s the essence of this entire equation when it comes to living and not simply being alive.

You may be physically living but spiritually dead. Life in the spirit his only found in one source and that is His Son. The same Jesus that professors who are atheists declare is merely A myth and yet archaeology and ancient scrolls have more than indicated he was living he was breathing he was miracle working he was killed and he rose again no form of history has ever disproven that and yet we still have these intellectual giants who declared all to be a myth for the mere convenience of their egos, is the source of being spiritually alive. Because when you are with Jesus you get love, you get compassion, you get mercy, you get grace because you have redemption through the blood that he gave and shed on your behalf.

This is why the verse declares who loves me and he gave himself for me. This giving is not just and exchange it is literally he died so that we may live. That we may have the hope of actually living in us simply being alive. For it is the goal of every Christian to when we pass into eternity to hear well done good and faithful servant from the lips of the one who died so that we may live, further inspection of that context means that you’ve passed because it’s an eternity. And yet he declares that he will tell some a depart from me I never knew you. That means those people are dead they may have lived but they were never spiritually alive. They avoided their purpose God-given, they did not seek Holy Spirit and submit to him seeking for direction and obeying that direction on a daily basis. No they went through life chasing one worldly pursuit after another in the path destined for death, not just physical death but spiritual death the very separation from God that I spoke of earlier.

Loved ones I am giving you the opportunity that Jesus gives you every moment of every day to be spiritually alive. Recognize who he is and walk in the faith they grant you life through the blood given for you to have it as such. We are in a very dark time in history that will not lighten that will not lift and will lead to catastrophic events with a move to enslave humanity and strip it of all of its rights. Time is growing short before the emergence of a dark Lord who will not give life, who will not give love, who will not give mercy who will not give grace who will not give compassion. He will rule as an authoritarian with forced compliance. He will reign with a religious leader who will convince you they are of God.

The choice is yours you can be like Paul and be crucified with Christ and recognized it’s not you that is living it is Christ in you.
