9/20/25 The Hand V The Hand Holds the Sword.

As we start the 5th portion of the series we have learned aspects the hand of God, also called the potter who has created you to carry him, the Holy Spirit. Many may think that the identification of who we are & why we came to be entitles us to go outside of scripture to reason with aspects of life, there are those out there who seem to want to put a smile on your face when you listen to them teach because they for some reason present a gospel that can be accepted with no consequences, no changes & a life that will be free of trouble.

Our basis for understanding the erroneous teachings here are drawn from the Bible itself. The foundation of our faith derives from one man, the Son of God, & extends to everyone else. The example they present shows us that we will have difficulty & the avenues of which are quite diverse. Messiah touches on this very abruptly with a message that is not a feel good message, but a message of truth.

John 16:33  “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Let’s not discount the value of knowing the truth. Yshua here prophesying of the before during after crucifixion. In other words the road is not going to be easy. Nothing out of the norm in this verse, the only real device is tribulation is the original rather than trouble. GR Thlipsis anguish, burdened, persecution, tribulation, trouble. So this broadens the meaning of what they are going to face, further, used of a narrow place that “hems someone in”; tribulation, especially internal pressure that causes someone to feel confined (restricted, “without options”)carries the challenge of coping with the internal pressure of a tribulation, especially when feeling there is “no way of escape”.

So you feel trapped. Any of you felt that way? Maybe you are right now? Think of the circumstances you have faced. The testing. The different forms we feel like there is no escape. Circumstances close in, maybe it is resources. Maybe it is your health. Maybe it is the issue I share, relationships. If you feel hemmed in, then Holy Ghost has a message for you.

We pray oh we pray for deliverance, guess what so did king David. Save us and help us with your right hand, that those you love may be delivered (Psalm 108:6).

Notice he calls for the right hand as the Savior here. Deliverance is for those he loves. If we know who is the Savior then do we have the proper approach? Let’s look at what we have learned in the series to understand the portfolio that is your life. Initially, you were a vision of Gods’ who formed your soul, then your structure when your time was ready to be brought to earth born in a specific place specific time, and to dwell in a specific culture. The vision contains all your capabilities, strengths, weaknesses and knows of what will happen to you. Further you are made in spite of that to operate in spiritual power. That is authority. But not unto yourself. We have to recognize when we are hemmed in what we are facing, & more importantly who.

Ephesians 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

So our focus based on this verse should not be anything material. You cannot solve a spiritual; problem with physical means. But we have to be careful identifying that because sometimes our problem is ourselves & our egos prohibit us from seeing that. We also cannot go giving credit where credit is not due. So if the enemy is not at fault, then do not simply blame him giving him credit for affecting our lives when he is not the culprit. But if you are hemmed in without explanation, without understanding, with humility to recognize our role in our lives & we can cause ourselves great harm & be our own worst enemies & realize something is not right here, and I mean right. Then open your eyes to what is going on. You are a child of God, but do you remember that he made you with the capability to have eyes that can see?

2 Chronicles 20:15 He said: “Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the Lord says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s.

However, if we can conclude that this is a spiritual issue, the enemies are controlled by the kingdom of darkness, we need to take note of what Messiah said.

John 16:33  “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Notice the peace is in Him. It is not in yourself, your resources, your network, your strength. You go to war with a sword in your hand, but it is not a physical sword. No, your sword is through Messiah, remember you are to be holding on to his hand. Walking where he leads. You call on the Lord, who is the alpha & omega, which means first & last word in everything. He is the one who speaks the two-edged sword representing authority & judgment. The same two edged sword that brings the struggle to a close in Revelation 19:21 The rest were killed with the sword coming out of the mouth of the rider on the horse.

So when you are battling life, the hand that holds you, the hand that you hold, holds the sword to go to war in ways you cannot! For that we praise the Lord!
