2/1/25 The Divine Answer

The struggle of life is a wrestling match. To survive you must have the mindset of a wrestler. No I do not mean those before cameras in the highly political and entertainment driven world of pro but those who are legitimately competing to outscore, outlast or soundly defeat their oppression. The greatest asset to a wrestler is his mind, because they realize the greatest foe they will face is not on the opposite side, it is themselves, their mindsets & their belief system. Last week we studied the greatest wrestler of all Jesus. We take for granted the love of the Savior. Last wk we learned he is the head of the body, the head of the church. Has supremacy in all things. We proved that he is real, that he is who he says he is. We need to know just why that is. PRAY.

¹⁹ For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him,

The original language is written like this—because in Him was pleased all the fullness to dwell. The divine term Elohim is not used here. The Him is ow-tos or autos it is a primary pronoun nothing else. The pronoun points obviously to Messiah. So “Because in Jesus was pleased all the fullness to dwell.”

All means all, technically in GR. Pas which means ALL. So Messiah got it all. All of what the fullness as in the totality of divinity. G back to last week. V¹⁶ For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. This is the context. It means when he came off the throne and wrapped himself in the cloak of filth of humanity that he did not lose anything when he lowered himself to dwell with us. He is still the alpha and omega He is still the first and the last He is still the engineer and workforce of creation and still the engineer of the ages. He is still the author of the faith He is still all we need and our only Hope. Some of us are disillusioned to think voting public officials and policies can save us. That somehow these are what we can hope in but can I tell you there is a problem that mankind cannot solve? Born in sin driven to chase the worst things for us and destined for hell because no one is innocent no one is clean before the purity of Almighty. God Jesus came to dwell in this madness but why? Why separate himself from being worshipped, adored and recognized by those who dwell with him to come here?

²⁰ and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

This reconciliation takes place in 2 spheres earth representing the material and heaven representing the spiritual. Which of these does his have dominion over? Both. What pleases God obedience, the Father in the Son the Son of the Father obedience to serve and show the world love was assured. V20 is the purpose.

Reconciliation means there is a divide. The divide was Creator and creation. There was a divide in the spiritual and in the material worlds. Sin had tainted the purity of what had been created. Unrighteousness had presented a barrier because a holy pure God cannot taint himself by being in the presence of that which is not. But God. . . sent his Son that whoever believes in Him will not parish but have everlasting life.  Seed time in harvest is the divine order and Jesus is the first fruits of the harvest. But the gospel is the of this truth is the divine answer to a problem that mankind cannot answer to achieve the divine trait of peace we cannot obtain with out the Messiah!
